Goals from Preece, Mullooly and Graham gave Hackenthorpe A an equally impressive point against the Royal Earl, who were last years league and cup winners. The Royal Earl only dropped four points in a impressive season last time out.

Division One winners High Noon played a out a 1-1 draw with Crookes at Ferrars Road. Christopher Barnes scored for the High Noon and Michael Murphy for Crookes.

Greenhill White Hart were also promoted in the summer and started the season with a notable 3-0 home win over the Packhorse Inn. Flanagan, Beech and Rydal grabbed the goals for the hosts.
Goals from Christopher Purvey and Bjorn Taylor (pen) helped Sharrow United to a 2-1 win over the Handsworth Turf Tavern at Warminster Road.
