Premier Division
Despite goals from Bradley Torr and James Middleton, Rawson Spring were
held to a 2-2 draw at Frecheville Sports Club by Arundel. The draw ends a run
of five successive victories by Rawson, who remain top-of-the-league.
Second placed Royal Earl were beaten 3-1 at home by Handsworth Turf Tavern.
Handsworth have won four of their last five league games.
Daniel Flynn scored the only goal as Crookes beat fourth placed Hackenthorpe
A at Swallownest Miners Welfare Ground.
The Devonshire were big 6-0 winners at Warminster Road over Wadsley Bridge
WMC. The win means The Devonshire have completed the league double over Wadsley
this season, and climb above Hackenthorpe A into third place.
Division One
Alex Rippon scored twice to help league leaders High Noon to a 6-1 win over
Penistone Church at Davy Sports Club. High Noon have scored 41 goals in their eight
league games this season.
Hurlfield remain two points off High Noon’s lead, following a 5-3 win over
City Taxis at HSBC Sports Club.
Nathan Edwards scored a hat-trick for Concord, as they beat Intake Ball Inn
7-2 at Meadowhall Soccer School. Concord’s win ends a three game winless league
run, and climb into fourth placed in the table.
Division Two
Bystrany Sheffield built on last weeks’ win over Wadsley, with a 7-2 home
win over Ridgeway Athletic. The loss is Ridgeway’s first of the season, but
they remain top-of-the-league.
Brandon Wilde was the hero for SWD as they beat second placed Woodhouse JFC
4-2 at Olive Grove. Wilde was in fine form, scoring a hat-trick.
U21 Division
Sheffield United Juniors Blades U21 extended their lead at the top of the
U21 Division to 14 points, as they beat Swallownest U21 13-0 at East End Park.
Andrew Gibbons starred for the Blades, with four goals to his name.
Abbey Lane U21 extended their unbeaten run to four league games, with a 4-1
home win over Brampton Dynamos U21.
Double Top U21 claimed their second win of the season, with a 3-2 win over
Hackenthorpe Warriors U21 at Halfway Junior School. Double Top had lost their
previous five league games.
