Round-up 22/12

There were a number of postponements on Sunday, and sadly only seven games went ahead.

Premier Division
Here was just one top division, with Crookes hosting The Devonshire. Crookes took the three points, with a 4-2 win. Crookes also won when the two met in the reverse fixture (1-0) back in September. The win takes Crookes to fifth place in the table, but they are joint on points with the third placed Devonshire.

Division One
Second placed Hackenthorpe B were beaten at home 2-1 by mid-table HSBC. The loss ends a run of four successive league wins for Hackenthorpe, and they remain thee points off the pace.

Jack-in-a-Box climbed to third place, with an impressive 4-1 away win over Packhorse Inn. They are now four points behind leaders High Noon. Jack-in-a-Box have scored four goals in three of their last three league games.

Andrew Taylor grabbed a brace for City Taxis, as they held  Intake Ball Inn to a 2-2 draw at Warminster Road. Intake Ball Inn won heir first points of the season last week with a 3-2 win over HSBC and this point helps them go joint on points with second-bottom Penistone Church.

Division Two
Third hosted first place at Handsworth Grange School, with Woodhouse JFC hosting Ridgeway Athletic. An entertaining game ensued, but neither team could be split as the game ended 2-2. Ridgeway remain eight points clear at the summit..

U21 Division
Both Ryan Bothamly and Sam Renshaw scored hat-tricks for the Double Top U21 in their 6-2 win over Crosspool U21, as they went into the holiday season on the back of three consecutive league wins.

Abbey Lane U21 stretched their unbeaten league run to six games, with a 7-3 win over Hackenthorpe Warriors U21 at Waterthorpe Playing Fields. The win takes Abbey Lane into third position in the table.
