Royal Earl retained the League Cup on Tuesday night, and by doing so completed the league and cup double.
The game against the Arbourthorne EA A was a tight affair, similar to the two sides' last league meeting in March. The game was decided dramatically by a single goal in the fifth minute of injury time at the end of the second-half.

League Cup Final Preview
Regular followers of the Meadowhall League won't need reminding; but the League Cup Final will take place tomorrow night between the Royal Earl and the Arbourthorne EA A. The two teams finished the league season Champions and runner's up respectively.
Royal Earl will be looking to complete the league and cup double with a win over the Arbourthorne. They will go into the game as slight favourites as they have overcome the Arbourthorne twice this season in league competition. They will also be looking to retain the trophy they won a year ago, when they beat the Packhorse Inn 2-1.
The Arbourthorne EA A will be looking to put wrongs right though, as they visit Bramall Lane for the second time in five days. On Thursday, they narrowly missed out on silverware, as they were beaten in extra-time 4-3 by AFP FC in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Sunday Senior Cup Final.
As previously mentioned, the two games this season between the two teams finished with Royal Earl wins. In February, the Royal Earl beat the Arbourthorne EA comfortably 6-2, but in the return fixture a month later it was a different story as Royal Earl just edged a nervy encounter 1-0.
So as always we wish both teams the best of luck and may the best team win!

Rawson Spring Win the Tinsley Trophy
A James Middleton double inspired Third Division side Rawson Spring to a 3-1 win over Division Two Ridgeway Athletic in the Tisley Trophy Final. James Middleton's contribution takes him onto 25 goals in all competitions for the season, and it also secures Rawson Spring's first silverware in the Meadowhall League. Brett Gardner was also on the scoresheet for the Rawson Spring, with Joe Charlesworth getting the goal for Ridgeway Athletic.
The game was played in a very good spirit, infront of a crowd of 156 at Stocksbridge Park Steels' Bracken Moor stadium.
The Tinsley Trophy crowns what has been a excellent season for the Rawson Spring, who also finished second in Division Three.

Tinsley Trophy Final 26/4
On Tuesday night Third Division Rawson Spring and Second Division Ridgeway Athletic will contest the Tinsley Trophy Final at Bracken Moor (Stocksbridge Park Steels FC stadium).
In the Semi-Final Rawson Spring played out a cagey 0-0 draw with fellow Division Three side Ecclesfield WMC. they proceeded to the final following a 3-1 victory on penalties.
Ridgeway Athletic's Semi-Final experience couldn't have been any different from that of Rawson Spring, as they ran out 5-3 winners over Sharrow Vale at Warminster Road.
The final is the last game of an excellent season for Rawson Spring, who finished second in Division three behind runaway leaders Heeley FC. Rawson Spring's excellent away form has seen them win seven games on the road, while only losing twice in the league all season.
Ridgeway Athletic have also had a solid season, finishing in fourth place in Division Two. Both their games in this seasons Tinsley Trophy have ended 5-3, so we should expect to see goals in the final on Tuesday.

Division Two Round-up 5/4
The sole game scheduled on Tuesday night took place in Division Two between Arbourthorne EA B and Jack-in-a-Box. The game is significant in the title run as they are currently placed the top two in the table. The game was a exciting affair ending 4-4, with David Gelsthorpe grabbing an hat-trick for league leaders Jack-in-a-Box. Jack-in-a-Box now remain four points clear at the top of the table, with Arbourthorne four points clear of third placed Penistone Church.

Tinsley Trophy Final
The Meadowhall League is happy to announce that this years Tinsley Trophy final between Ridgeway Athletic and Rawson Spring will take place at Stocksbridge Park Steels' Bracken Moor Stadium on Tuesday 26th April. The kick-off will be 7pm. We hope to see you all there!

Premier Division Round-up 3/4
The first midweek game of tthe new year took place on thursday night. The game ended an emphatic 5-0 away win for Arbourthorne EA A over Chapeltown Cue Ball.
With the Royal Earl in cup action on sunday, Arbourthorne EA A took the opportunity to cut the their lead for the second time in three days. This time Arbourthorne beat Handsworth turf Tavern 3-2 away from home. The Royal Earl's lead over the Arbourthorne now stands at twelve points, but they have played two game more.
Four goals from Thomas Nolan helped third placed Hackenthorpe to a convincing 7-1 win over Sharrow United, who lost back-to-back league games for the first time this season.
A Christopher Peel hat-trick for Arundel helped them beat Mosborough A 3-2 to climb above them and move off the bottom of the table. The game is the last of Arundel's season.
Elsewhere, goals from Paul Lavender and Christopher Ashberry gave Packhorse Inn a hardfought 2-1 win over Chapeltown Cue Ball.
