Round-up 15/1

Technology saved the day in the Meadowhall League on Sunday, after the bad weather in the South Yorkshire region brought numerous pitches to the fore. Two games did take place, but only thanks to 3G pitches.

Carlton Social beat Mosborough U21's 3-1 at Springs Academy in the U21 Cup. The first half was goalless, but a volley of action finished with Carlton 3-1 winners. Boyle, Swift and Hewitt grabbed the goals for Carlton to take them into Second Round of the competition.

The other game took place at Gosforth Fields, where Dronfield Town U21's beat Throstles U21's 5-0 in the U21 Division. There were five different goalscorers for Dronfield, these being Richard Hirst, Michael Shaw, Callum Mawbuy, Tom Collier and Liam Hogg.
