Due to the Senior and Juniors cups there was a reduced fixture list at the
weekend in the Meadowhall League.
Premier Division
Handsworth Turf Tavern made it three wins in a row, with a 3-0 win over
Packhorse Inn. The goals came from Russell Hobson, Liam Greenfield and Lee
Brunt.
Crookes are in second place after a very entertaining 4-4 draw with Sharrow
United Warminster Road. The result leaves both teams unbeaten this term.
Royal Earl bounced back from last weeks’ defeat to Handsworth Turf Tavern
by beating High Noon 2-1.
Hackenthorpe A and Wadsley Bridge WMC plaeyd out a 2-2 at Swallownest
Miners Welfare Ground.
Division One
Liam Cartledge proved to be the difference once again for the Arbourthorne
EA. He scored the only goal, as they beat Winn Gardens at home. The win keeps
their 100% record intact, and keeps them in the lead.
Rawson Spring claimed their third straight win, by beating Penistone Church
4-0 at the Memorial Ground. The result takes them into, and they only
Arbourthorne EA on goal difference.
HSBC claimed their first win of the season over by beating Intake Ball Inn
4-1 at home.
U21 Division
Sheffield FC U21’s made it two wins out of two to keep up their excellent
start to life in the Meadowhall league. They were emphatic 8-0 winners over
Swallownest U21’s. Josh Oxley-Adams scored four goals for Sheffield.
Sharrow United U21’s grabbed their first win of the season in style. They
beat Hackenthorpe Warriors U21’s 7-2 at Parson’s Cross Park. Hackenthorpe
remain winless after four attempts.
Davies scored three times to help Swinton Spartans U21’s to a 4-3 away win
over Abbey Lane U21’s.
Greaseborough U21’s remain undefeated after a thrilling 3-3 draw with
Woodhouse JFC U21’s at Flockton Park. The point takes them onto five for the
season.
