Sunday Round-up 15/9

A busy weekend in both the S&HCFA Senior and Junior Cups led to a smaller fixture list than usual in the Meadowhall League, with only seven league games taking place.

Premier Division
Royal Earl continued their good early league form, with a 4-3 victory over Crookes at Warminster Road. They have won three of their first four games, and sit top.

Sharrow United suffered their second consecutive loss, losing 4-1 at home to The Devonshire. The Devonshire have now won two and lost two so far this season and occupy third place.

Division One
Hurlfield made it three wins from their opening three games, with an emphatic 9-1 win over Intake Ball Inn at the SWD Ground. Intake Ball Inn have lost their first three games so far.

Jordan Marshall scored both goals for City Taxis, to give them 2-0 away win over Hackenthorpe B at Swallownest Miners Welfare Ground.

U21 Division
It was a day of big wins in the U21 Division. League Leaders Sheffield United Juniors Blades U21 were 6-0 winners over Hackenthorpe Warriors U21 at East End Park. The Juniors Blades have 13 points from their first five games in the Meadowhall League.

Mosbrough U21’s are only a point behind the Junior Blades, after a 7-0 away win Crosspool U21.


Brunsmeer FC U21 and Double Top U21 played out an entertaining 11 goal thriller at Dore Playing Fields. The tie fell in Brunsmeer’s favour 8-3, taking them into third position.
