Quarter-Final
The Devonshire’s Senior Cup run came to an end on Sunday
with a 2-1 against Wombwell Main at Warminster Road.
League Cup 3rd
Round
Brunsmeer Abbey AJW of the Premier Division took on
Penistone Church of Division One at HSBC Sports Club. Brunsmeer’s superior
league position showed in the end, as they came out comfortable 9-2 winners.
Brunsmeer will travel to face Division One leaders Hurlfield in the next round
in a couple of weeks.
Tinsley Trophy
Quarter-Finals
Adam Dickinson scored twice for High Noon, as they claimed a
3-0 away win over Intake Ball Inn.
18 year old Niall Smith scored the only goal for Packhorse
Inn in their 1-0 home win over SWD. Packhorse will play Jack-in-a-Box in their
Semi-Final in early April.
U21 League Cup Quarter-Final
Sharrow United U21 were 4-1 winners against Hackenthorpe
Warriors U21 at Waterthorpe Playing Fields. Sharrow’s win will be rewarded with
a Semi-Final tie against U21 Division leaders Sheffield United Juniors Blades U21
on March 23rd.
Premier Division
Rawson Spring kept their unbeaten league season going with a
3-2 home win over Handsworth Turf Tavern. 22 year old Andrew Gascoigne scored
all three goals for the league leaders, as they went three points clear at the
top.
Arundel made it three consecutive wins, with a 4-1 win over
Sharrow United at Warminster Road.
Royal Earl were looking to bounce back fromm two straight
losses, as they travelled to bottom-0f-the-league Wadsley Bridge WMC. However,
Royal Earl could only manage a point as they drew 1-1.
Division One
Hurlfield climbed to the summit of the First Division, with
an impressive 7-1 home win over HSBC. Kyle Emmett and Ryan Morris were both on
target twice for Hurlfield, as they go one point clear of rivals High Noon, who
have three games in hand.
Hackenthorpe B played their first league game since
mid-December, and they looked well for the rest beating Jack-in-a-Box 2-0 at
Davy Sports Club. Hackenthorpe have won five of their last six league games.
Division Two
Mosborough made it six leagues games on the bounce with a
6-4 win over Wadsley at Niagra Sport Club. The win takes Mosborough to the top
of Division Two, a point clear of Ridgeway Athletic.
Goals from Henry Bradshaw-Smith and Aaron Hatfield gave
Woodhouse JFC a 2-0 win over Bystrany Sheffield.
U21 Division
Sheffield United Junior Blades U21 march on at the top of
the U21 Division. They were comfortable 6-1 winners over Double Top U21 at
Halfway Junior School. The Blades are now 19 points clear.
Brunsmeer FC U21 and Brampton Dynamos U21 shared 11 goals in
a thriller at Dore Playing Fields. The game fell in Brampton’s favour though,
as they took the points with a 6-5 win. The win helps Brampton consolidate
their four point lead over third placed Abbey Lane U21. Abbey Lane were also
winners on Sunday, beating Wisewood Hounds U21 3-0 at Parson’s Cross Park.
