Congratulations are in order for Sharrow United who are have advanced to the semi-final of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Sunday Senior Challenge cup. The Premier Division outfit saw off Brampton Rovers 5-2 in yesterdays quarter-final. Iftikhar Afzal, Michael Redhead and Droy Williams (hat-trick) with the goals for Sharrow.
In the Sheffield & Hallamshire Sunday Junior Cup Challenge Cup, Heeley FC were beaten 4-1 in their 5th Round tie with Dene Brook. Heeley will not be too disappointed though, as they will now be able to continue to focus on their promotion push. They currently sit in fourth place in the Third Division but have 100% league record.
