Round-up 11/11


Premier Division
Two goals from Ashley Longstaff helped fire Hackenthorpe A to a 4-0 over High Noon. the result helps keep Hackenthorpe top-of-the-table.

Hackenthorpe still only remain in first position on goal difference, as Handsworth Turf Tavern also won to keep up the pressure on the leaders. The Turf Tavern were 3-1 winners over Arundel at Davy Sports Club.

Sharrow United lost their first league game of the season. They were downed 5-1 at Warminster Road by Wadsley Bridge WMC. Adam Askwith and Andrew Hill were both on target twice for Wadsley.

Crookes consolidated their third placed position with a 3-2 victory over Packhorse Inn at Warminster Road.

Greenhill White Hart continued their unpredictable form with an impressive 6-1 away win over Brunsmeer Abbey AJW. Greenhill are mid-table, but are the second highest goal-scorers in the league, behind only Hackenthorpe A.

Division One
Liam Cartledge scored twice as Arbourthorne EA beat Penistone Church 4-2 at Warminster Road. They remain six points clear at the top of the First Division.

Second placed Rawson Spring made it five wins from six league games, with a 3-1 win over fourth placed Winn Gardens.

Third placed Intake Ball Inn lost their first league game since September, as they were beaten 2-1 away by Woodhouse Juniors FC.

A single goal from Byron Mullen was enough for Jack-in-a-Box to see-off HSBC, and climb of the bottom-of the-table. HSBC replace Jack-in-a-Box at the foot-of-the-table.

Goals from Robert Page and Billy Thomas helped Ridgeway Athletic to a 2-1 away win over Hackenthorpe B. The win is Ridgeway's first since an entertaining 5-4 win over HSBC in September.

Division Two
League leaders City Taxis (Stradbroke) were held to their third draw of the season by SWD. SWD climb to second bottom with the point.

Two goals from Brandon Widle inspired Hurlfield to a 4-0 away victory over FC Darnall. Hurlfield are now only second in the table on goal difference.

Bystrany Sheffield made it back-to-back league wiuns for the first time, following their 4-0 win over Cricketers 2012, who fall to bottom-of-the-league.

Cohn Sanderson grabbed a hat-trick as Mosborough B beat Wadsley FC 6-2 at Mosborough Miners Welfare. The win is Mosborough's first in the league since the opening game of the season.

U21 Division
League leaders Sheffield FC U21's were back to winning ways following back-to-back draws. They were big 11-0 winners over winless Hackenthorpe Warriors U21's. The win extends Sheffield's lead at the top to three points.

Hodges scored three times for Abbey Lane U21's in their thrilling 6-5 win over Woodhouse JFC U21's at the Boundary Sports Club.

Throstles U21's extended their unbeaten league start to eight matches with a 4-3 win over Dronfield Town U21's. Throstles climb to second, only three points off Sheffield's lead with two games-in-hand.

Swinton Spartans U21's made it three straight league wins, as they beat Swallownest U21's 5-3 at Swinton Comprehensive School.

Thomas Oakes scored three times for Crosspool Juniors U21's in their 6-4 away win over Sharrow United U21's at Parsons Cross Park.
