Round-up 18/11


It was a excellent day for the Meadowhall League in the S&HCFA Senior and Junior Cup's, with only one the leagues teams suffering defeat.

Under 21 League Cup
The Under 21 League Cup returned for its second year, with three First Round ties taking place on Sunday.
Bradley Lambert scored twice to help Woodhouse JFC U21's to a 3-1 win over Swinton Spartans U21's at Flockton Park.

Both Blake Owen and Sam Wright grabbed hat-tricks for Hollinsend U21's in their 7-4 after-extra-time victory over Sharrow United U21's at Stradbroke Recreation Ground.

Greaseborough U21's also put their name in the hat for round two, after a comfortable 6-0 home win over Crosspool Juniors U21's.

Premier Division
Two goals from Anthony Shaw inspired High Noon to a 4-2 victory over Sharrow United at Davy Sports Club. The loss is Sharrow's second straight in the league, after being previously undefeated.

Wadsley Bridge WMC extended their unbeaten league run to six matches with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Greenhill White Hart. Wadsley remain fourth, but are now only three points off league leaders Hackenthorpe A in a congested Premier Division title race.

Division One
Third placed Hackenthorpe B claimed a 2-1 win over HSBC at Reignhead Farm thanks to goals from Chris Philips and Jamie Hopkins.

Both Oliver Lee and Oliver Robinson scored twice for Penistone Church, as they beat Winn Gardens 6-3 at the Memorial Ground.

Woodhouse Juniors made it back-to-back league wins for the first time this season, with an impressive 7-0 away victory over Ridgeway Athletic.

Division Two
Bystrany Sheffield made it three straight league wins, by beating Norton Athletic 3-1 at the Civil Service Ground. Bystrany had previously been winless, but now find themselves in fifth position.

SWD claimed their first league win of the season, by seeing-off Hackenthorpe Villa 2-1 at Olive Grove. Sam Lockey and James Marshall scored the vital goals for SWD.

Mosborough B made it back-to-back wins with an emphatic 8-2 victory over Cricketers 2012.

U21 Division
Dronfield Town U21's ended a run of three league games without defeat, with a 10-0 victory over Hackenthorpe Warriors U21's. William Mallinson scored four times and Sam Butler three times for Dronfield, as they scored double figures for the second time this season.

Abbey Lane U21's scored six for the second successive week, as they were 6-2 winners over Swallownest U21's at Burgoyne Park.
