Round-up 13/5


Premier Division
Royal Earl finish the season in third place, following the 3-1 away defeat of Mosborough A. Last years' double winners sit joint second, but two goals behind second placed High Noon. Mosborough finish in last place in the Premier Division.

Division Two
Penistone Church went into their game with Heeley on Tuesday knowing that a win would clinch them the Second Division title. But has frequently is the case  in football, it was not straightforward for them. They ended-up succumbing to an exciting 5-3 defeat, which hands the title to the Rawson Spring.

Heeley followed up their excellent result on Tuesday with a defeat of their own on Thursday. In equally thrilling fashion they lost 6-5 to City Taxis New Inn at the SWD Ground. Heeley, last years Third Division winners, end their first season in the Second Division in fourth place.

6/5 Round-up

Division One
Adam Askwith scored twice (once from the spot) to help Wadsley Bridge WMC to a 4-1 win over HSBC. The win helps Wadsley cement their third place position

Division Two
If Penistone win on Tuesday they will win the title, following a 3-2 win over Heeley. Gareth Brwon scored twice and Tim Council once to move Penistone joint on points with Rawson Spring. The big game on Tuesday for Penistone is against Heeley again, but away this time.

The leaders Rawson Spring did their bit, by seeing off mid-table Ridgeway Athletic 13-0 away from home. The win boosts Rawson's goal difference substantially.

Dronfield Town U21 Do the Double

Dronfield Town U21's won the inaugural Under 21 League Cup on Thursday night. They were resounding 5-0 winners over Sharrow United U21's at Chaucer Sports Centre. Seventeen year old John Pugh was the difference on the night for Dronfield, scoring four goals. Callum Mawbey was also on the score-sheet to make it a perfect night for Dronfield, who have also won the Under 21 Division title,
