A Michael Blythen hat-trick inspired second placed Arbourthorne EA to a 5-1 home win over Sharrow United. With league leaders Royal Earl not playing the result takes Arbourthorne within six points of top with two games in hand.
Bottom side Arundel ESC recorded their third win of the season beating fourth palced Handsworth Turf Tavern 3-1 away. After a promising start to the season it was their sixth loss in seven games.
Second from bottom Mosborough A also won, winning 3-0 at home against Packhorse Inn, a team they have now completed the home-away double over.
Sunday's other match was a mid-table clash between Crookes Chapeltown Cue Ball. Crookes took the three points with a 2-0 win to move into fourth place. Crookes have now won their last three league games in a row.
