Round-up 2/12


For a second consecutive week the weather led to postponed fixtures. This time only four fixtures survived the cold snap.

League Cup 2nd Round
Throstles U21's progressed into the 3rd Round stage of the League Cup with an 8-3 victory over Crosspool Juniors U21's. Thomas Houghton grabbed a hat-trick to inspire Throstles to victory on the 3G pitch at Sheffield Park Academy.

Crookes continued their recent good run of form with a comprehensive 6-0 win over Jack-in-a-Box at Davy's Sports Club. As well as League cup advancement, Crookes are sitting nicely in third position in the Premier Division.

Premier Division
21 year old Aaron Moxam fired Brunsmeer Abbey AJW to a 4-2 win over Royal Earl. Moxam starred with three goals at Warminster Road, once from the spot. Royal Earl have now gone three league games without a win.

Division Two
Goals from Sam Burns and Daniel Shipley gave Norton Athletic a 2-1 win over Cricketers 2012.Norton's win at Handsworth Grange School, is their second of the season.
