Round-up 5/11

League Cup 2nd Round
The big game in the League cup came at Davy Sports Club, where Handsworth Turf Tavern lost 3-2 to last years' winners Royal Earl. The Royal Earl have not lost in the Meadowhall League Cup since 1st March 2009, where they were defeated 2-1 by High Noon.

Sharrow United kept their unbeaten run going, with a 2-0 win over HSBC at Parsons Cross Park.
Premier League side Brunsmeer Abbey made good work of Division Two's Norton Athletic. They won the game 3-0, with Aaron Moxam scoring all three.

An hat-trick from Adam Shepherd (2 pens), helped Packhorse Inn to an eventful 4-3 win over SWD.

Adam Askwith was on the score-sheet twice for Wadsley Bridge WMC in their 7-1 win over Hackenthorpe Villa at Chaucer Sports Centre.

City Taxis (Stradbroke) converted three penalties in their 7-2 win over Cricketers 2012 at HSBC Sports Club. Ryan Smith grabbed an hat-trick in that tie.

Tinsley Trophy 1st Round
Rawson Spring edged-out Ridgeway Athletic 1-0 at Ridgeway Sports & Social Club to reach Round Two. Rawson Spring will face Woodhouse JFC in the next round on Sunday December 16th.

Premier Division
A single goal from Mark Clements was enough to give Crookes a 1-0 win over High Noon at Warminster Road. Crookes move into third place with the win. High Noon sit second bottom, after four straight league defeats.

Hackenthorpe A moved to the summit of the Premier League with a convincing 4-1 away win over Greenhill White Hart.

Division One
Tim Council hit four goals to help Penistone Church to a 5-3 victory over Woodhouse JFC. The win gives Penistone back-to-back league wins for the first time this term.

Two goals from Danny Atkins helped Jack-in-a-Box to their first league win of the season. They were 4-0 winners away against Hackenthorpe B.

Intake Ball Inn extended their unbeaten league run to three games, with a 4-2 win over Winn Gardens. The win moves Intake Ball Inn into third place.

Division Two
There was only one game in Division Two - Wadsley FC were big 8-1 winners over FC Darnall. Michael Brown starred with three goals. It is the first time FC Darnall have lost consecutive league games this season.

U21 Division
League leaders Sheffield FC U21's were held for the second consecutive week. This time they drew 3-3 at home to third placed Throstles U21's. The draw ensures Throstles are still the only undefeated team left in the U21 Division.

Woodhouse JFC U21's took advantage of Sheffield's draw to move within a point of their lead. They were 9-2 winners over Crosspool Juniors U21's.

Abbey Lane U21's followed last weeks 2-2 draw with a Crosspool Juniors U21's, with another 2-2 draw against Greaseborough U21's.

Two goals from Nathan Davies inspired Swinton Spartans U21's to a 3-1 away win over Swallownest U21's.
