An all Meadowhall League Semi-Final in the Senior Cup

Both Meadowhall League teams left in the Sunday Senior Challenge Cup meet this weekend in the Semi-final of the competition, as Arbourthorne EA A host Sharrow United at Warminster Road.

Arbourthorne EA A are having a terrific season and are leading the chasing pack behind the Premier Division leaders Royal Earl (who are the only team they have lost to in the league). They also edged out Pheasant Inn on penalties at the weekend to progress to the Semi-final of the League cup competition.

Sharrow United are also having a solid season and currently hold a mid-table position. They come into the game on the back of 2-1 win against Mosborough A. They have had an unpredictable time of late with and have not won or lost back-to-back league games this season and have only drawn one game in the process. They nearly put this right a couple of weeks ago when they were unlucky to be downed 2-1 by the Royal Earl.

The two sides met only a month ago in the same fixture with Arbourthorne coming out emphatic winners that day by five goals to one. Michael Blythen scored a hat-trick that day and will be looking for a similar outcome this time around.

Good Luck to both teams!

The final of the competition takes place on the 5th May.
