Sunday was a very busy day in the Meadowhall League with 34 teams in action.
In Division Three, Heeley made it ten wins for the season with a emphatic 12-1 away victory over FC Darnall. Daniel Harriot got four goals for Heeley. Andrew Kitson and Jamie Major also recorded trebles for leaders.
Richard Firth inspired second-placed Ecclesfield to their fifth win in six, as they beat Staffordshire Arms 6-0 at Middlewood Park. The win win keeps the pressure on leaders Heeley who are one point clear at the top.
Rawson Spring climbed into third place with a 3-1 away win against Sharrow Vale. Jordan Wasden, James Middleton and David Cutts for Rawson Spring. James Eccles got the reply for Sharrow.
Elsewhere, Hackenthorpe B slipped to a 2-1 away defeat against Handsworth Social. The win puts a spanner in the works of Hackenthorpe's title challenge, as they slipped into fourth place. Francis Donaghey notched his 11th goal of the season for Handsworth.
