Senior and Junior Cup Round-up 20/11

S&HFA Senior Cup Round 4
Packhorse Inn were defeated by Athersley Recreation 3-1 in the fourth round of the Senior Cup. A goal from Adam Simpson for Packhorse had made sure the game ended 1-1 after ninety minutes, but they were seen off in extra-time.

Mosborough A were also beaten 3-1. Their defeat came in normal time to Worksop Borough.

Good news did come from Chaucer Sports Centre, as Wadsley Bridge WMC beat Upton Wrangbrook comfortably 5-1 to progress to round five. The goals came from Nathan Tankard (2), Kieran Goff, Bradley Spencer and Marc Williams.

S&HFA Junior Cup Round 4
The big winners in the Junior Cup were Penistone Church, who emphatically saw off Eastfield Harriers 9-2. Tim Council contributed four goals to the cause, and Lewis Dickinson and Elliot Smith scored three and two goals respectively.

The game of the day came between Beighton Magpies and African Dream Team. Adem Mohamedin scored four goals to inspire the Dream Team to a dramatic 6-5 win.

The only other Meadowhall League team to progress was City Taxis New Inn. They beat Ludwood & District 4-0 at the HSBC Sports Club.

Goals from Joe Rowlands and Adam Dickinson may have been enough to secure Hackenthorpe B a 2-2 draw after 120 minutes away at the Welfare. Sadly, they were defeated 3-1 on penalties.

Two goals from Todd Jordan for Division Two leaders Rawson Spring were in vain, as they were downed 3-2 by the Niagara.

Hackenthorpe Villa were narrowly defeated 1-0 by the Ranch at Reignhead Farm.

Lastly, Mosborough B were beat 5-1 by the Anchor at home.
