An entertaining game at Handsworth Grange School saw Woodhouse Juniors and Heeley share twelve goals between them, nive of them belonging to the latter. Goals from Daniel Hodder (3), Richard Mason (2), Karlda Lewin, Danny Statham, Sam Greaves and Cedric Mukunzi made sure Heeley did not have to endure a shock in this early stage of the competition.
There other game taking place in the Tinsley Trophy also saw a big win, this time it came in Mosborough U21's favour. They beat Throstles U21 6-1 at the Old Westfield School Playing Fields.
