makes them leaders of Division One. HSBC loss here was surprising following
their impressive 4-1 win over Intake Ball Inn at home.
It was the Adam Dickinson show at the Memorial Ground on

Handsworth Turf Tavern - Premier Division Champions
It was a tense night for both Handsworth Turf Tavern and Crookes last Thursday. Handsworth new a win would give them the tile, as they had a superior goal difference. Crookes knew they needed Handsworth to slip-up, as well as winning themselves to take the championship.
In the end it was a little less dramatic, with both teams running-out convincing winners. Handsworth were 6-2 winners away Hackenthorpe A. Crookes were also in the goals, beating Packhorse Inn at Thorncliffe Playing Fields.
So congratulations to all involved with Handsworth Turf Tavern, who win the title as they have a 13 better goal differential compered with Crookes.

Rawson Spring win the cup!
The Division One outfit won the League Cup last night, with a 3-1 win over Premier Division side Hackenthorpe A at Bramall Lane.
Rawson have had an excellent season. They have finished second place in Division One, and they ended their league season last Sunday with a 3-1 win over the league winners Arbourthorne EA. Round-up 12/5
S&HCFA Senior Cup Final
Premier Division leaders Handsworth Turf Tavern played Athersley Recreation
in the Senior Cup final at Brammall Lane on Wednesday night. Sadly, they lost
the game 2-1.
Premier Division
Arundel followed-up last Sunday's win over Hackenthorpe A, with two wins
midweek. They beat Packhorse Inn 4-0 away from home on Tuesday night. They were
3-1 winners over in-form Royal Earl on Thursday night. These three wins push
them into a comfortable mid-table position.
Royal Earl bounced-back from Thursday defeat, by seeing-off Packhorse Inn
4-2 at Warminster Road on Sunday.
It has been goals galore for Hackenthorpe A this week. They were 5-1
winners over Brunsmeer Abbey AJW on Tuesday night. They scored another four on
Thursday night against Packhorse, but this time they were held to a 4-4 draw.
Division One
It was a significant night in the Division One title race on Tuesday night,
with both the top two in action. Firstly, leaders Arbourthorne EA were 3-1
winners over Winn Gardens at the Meadowhall Soccer School. At the same time,
second placed Rawson Spring were at home to mid-table Intake Ball Inn. They
were unable to keep up the pressure on Arbourthorne slipping to a 3-1 defeat.
It was similar situation on Thursday with the two teams in action again.
This time Rawson Spring made no mistake, beating Jack-in-a-Box 3-0 thanks to
goals from Alex Torr, James Middleton and Jake Hampshire. But Sadly for Rawson
Spring, Arbourthorne were in a similar mood, as they beat Intake Ball Inn 3-0
at Warminster Road.
A combination of Tuesday and Thursday's results was enough to give
Arbourthorne the Division One title. Rawson Spring then hosted Arbourthorne on
Sunday. Frustratingly for Rawson Spring, they won this game comfortably 3-1,
but it was too little too late for their title dreams.
Elsewhere, at the bottom of the table, Woodhouse JFC were beaten 4-0 at
home by HSBC. The win is HSBC's third in four games and helps them finish the
season third from the bottom of the table.
U21 Division
Sheffield FC U21's claimed their first U21 League Cup win. They were 4-3
winners over Dronfield Town U21's at Chesterfield FC's Pro-Ax Stadium on
Tuesday night. The game was 2-2 after ninety minutes, but Sheffield ran-out 4-3
winners after a dramatic extra-time period.
Dronfield had little time to recover from their cup final loss, as they
were in action on both Thursday and Sunday night. They were two points behind
leaders Sheffield FC U21's (who had already completed their fixture) with just
these two fixtures to play. In the end Dronfield needed only one game to climb
above Sheffield. John Pugh scored twice for them to help them to a 3-1 away win
over Woodhouse JFC U21's at Flockton Park. The win gave them the points they
needed to clinch their second successive U21 Division title. Dronfield were
also in action on Sunday, where they finished-off their season in style with a
10-1 win over Crosspool Juniors U21's.
Hackenthorpe Warriors U21’s claimed back-to-back wins for the first time
this season, when they Swinton Spartans U21’s 3-1 on Sunday.

win over Hollinsend U21’s at Stradbroke Recreation Ground. They finish the
season in fourth.

Round-up 5/5
Premier Division
Handsworth Turf Tavern were 1-0 winners over Crookes in the big game at
Warminster Road on Thursday night. The win was enough to take Crookes top on
goal difference. Sadly for Handsworth they were unable to extend their lead on
Sunday, as they were downed 3-1 by Wadsley Bridge WMC at Chaucer Sports Centre.
The win for Wadsley builds on their midweek 4-3 win over Hackenthorpe A. Wadsley
remain third, six points off the lead.
A Lee Dexter penalty and a Joe Charlesworth strike was enough to give
Arundel a 2-1 win over Hackehthorpe A at Swallownest Miners Welfare Ground. The
win takes Arundel above High Noon and into third from the last place.
Elsewhere, High Noon held Brunsmeer Abbey AJW to a 2-2 draw at HSBC Sports
Club.

clear at the top of the table with a spare game.

night, with a 3-1 away win over mid-table SWD. Philip Miskell was on target
twice (once from the spot) for the champions.
Alex Lill was in excellent form for Mosborough B on Sunday, scoring three
times in their 5-1 home win over Norton Athletic. The win takes Mosborough into
third place above Bystrany Sheffield.
U21 Division
The U21 Division title race will go down to the wire, with both the front-runners
winning this weekend. The league leaders Sheffield FC U21’s ended their season
with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Woodhouse JFC U21’s at Flockton Park. They end
their season on 51 points.
Third placed Dronfield Town U21’s grabbed their 11th consecutive
league win, with a 3-2 home win over Greasborough U21’s at Gosforth Fields. 18
year old John Pugh starred for Dronfield with a hat-trick. The win takes

off the lead with two games left to play.

take top spot. They were 2-1 winners over Hackenthorpe on Thursday, and were
2-1 winners over Wadsley Bridge WMC at Warminster Road. They are three points
clear, but second placed Handsworth Turf Tavern do have a game in hand.
Brunsmeer Abbey AJW ended a run of three league defeats in style on Sunday,
with a 5-1 away win over Packhorse Inn. Both Joseph Highfield and Aaron Moxam
were in fine form for Brunsmeer scoring twice each. Packhorse remain
bottom-of-the-table.
Royal Earl made it four wins from their last five league games, with a 4-1
away win over Hackenthorpe A. The win takes Royal Earl into third position.
Division One
Rawson Spring have had an excellent week, climbing to the top of Division One.
Firstly, a hat-trick from 20 year old Alex Torr inspired them to a 7-0 on
Thursday night against third placed Penistone Church. Torr went one better on
Sunday, scoring four as Rawson beat Winn Gardens 7-1 at the Meadowhall Soccer
School. Rawson are a point clear of second placed Arbourthorne, who have two
games in hand of them.
Penistone Church bounced back from their 7-0 defeat to Rawson Spring, by

penalty spot).
Intake Ball Inn and Hackenthorpe B played out an entertaining 3-3 draw at
Warminster Road on Sunday.
Division Two
League leaders Hurlfield were 6-3 winners over Wadsley FC on Thursday night

City Taxis Spring A Surprise
A change in weather in the region has prompted us to all believe finally that Spring is upon us. Well, Spring for us means the start of the cup final season. The first of which came last night in the form of the Tinsley Trophy Final.
